Overview
Students will find that this introductory Cybersecurity program takes a practical career-oriented approach to learning, with emphasis on the installation, repair and maintenance of computers, servers and simple computer networks. Graduates of this one-year program are prepared to work in a number of roles in the IT industry maintaining systems.
Students will have the option to take a number of industry certification exams but they are not a required part of the program.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, the learner will be able to
- Install and maintain operating systems, server software and troubleshoot computer systems hardware
- Maintain and troubleshoot selected computer network systems
- Write simple Programs using a high level programming language
- Use data communication technologies in wired applications to create data transmission solutions
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and solve technical problems related to computer and Network systems
- Communicate and work effectively as a technician with team members, employers, technical and non-technical personnel
- Demonstrate professional and ethical conduct as an IT support technician
